The Loading Dock Scholarship


We believe in investing in the future of our industry by supporting those who are driven to grow, learn, and contribute to our local community.


The Loading Dock Scholarship is open to both students and current professionals who are seeking financial support for career and professional development. Whether you’re applying for funding to attend a conference, enroll in a course, complete an internship, or pursue other educational opportunities — we want to hear from you!

  • Application Information (Read prior to applying)

    The Loading Dock Scholarship goals are:


    1. Assist students and event professionals access education and opportunities to advance their careers
    2. Bring new ideas to the local event industry
    3. To expand our “best in the country” talent pool and keep them in our city!

    Scholarship Offer


    • The value of each scholarship will vary based on the application and available funds. Please note that partial funding may be provided — not necessarily the full requested amount.
    • Multiple scholarships may be awarded.

    Eligible Activities Include:


    • Conferences, seminars, or workshops
    • Internships or practicums
    • Courses or certifications
    • Industry-related educational programs

    Terms for Eligibility


    • Student or professional in the event industry
    • Submission of complete application

    How to Apply

    • Complete the submission form
    • Include a brief budget outlining the costs of your opportunity
    • Include a short video (1 minute) or brief write up (500 words) introducing yourself, why you love the event industry, and how this opportunity will benefit both you and our local industry.

    Acceptance Process


    • All submissions will be reviewed by a Selection Committee. If a committee member has a conflict of interest with an applicant, they will abstain from that review.
    • The committee may conduct a second round of review to determine successful applicants.
    • Only successful applicants will be contacted if application volume is high.

    Succesful Applicants will be required to:

    • Provide proof of enrollment, attendance, or completion before reimbursement is provided.
    • Report back to us on your experience (e.g., written summary, video update, or short presentation).
